One of the largest exhibitions of cable TV in Europe “Anga Cable” shall take place in the German city Cologne on 3-5 May 2011; UAB “Selteka” shall take part in it with its stand for the first time.
Switching-off of analogous television shall be started in Lithuania in about half a year. The analogous television which we are used to and which has been operating for over 50 years gives way to the new-generation digital television.
The difference between digital television and the usual one is the fact that the images and sounds thereof are transferred by a digital signal. In order to receive this signal and move over to digital content, each TV screen needs a set-top box. The TV set already owned by the viewer is connected to a small set-top box and an outdoor aerial.
According to Arūnas Vizgaitis, the manager of “SELTEKA”, the Lithuanian digital set-top boxes manufacturer, even a person, who lives in the most remote corner of Lithuania, can use high-quality digital television for free.
The quality and reliability of “SELTEKA” set-top boxes has been tested in over 100 locations, in various corners of Lithuania.
